Neurofunctional Acupuncture
Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, also known as Neurofunctional Acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique, in which fine solid acupuncture needles are inserted into anatomically defined neurofunctional sites. They can be stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system. This may occur in pain syndromes, movement dysfunctions or any diseases in which these modulatory mechanisms are available.

Acupuncture can be effective on its own or as an adjunct to other therapeutic interventions.
